On behalf of the 28 mothers of the Sensational San Diego Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., it is my distinct honor to welcome you to our Chapter website.
We are pleased that you are interested in learning more about Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and the San Diego Chapter in particular. Our Chapter takes tremendous pride in providing programming for our children that is intentionally engaging. Consistent with Jack and Jill of America, Inc., our areas of primary focus include: community service, cultural, educational, health, legislative, recreational, social.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc., was founded in 1938 by the visionary Mrs. Marion Stubbs Thomas as a medium for African-American mothers to connect their children for social, cultural and educational opportunities. Since our founding, membership in Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is by invitation only. To be eligible for consideration, you must live within the boundaries of the Chapter which includes San Diego County south of Highway 52. Additionally, mothers must have a child between the ages of 2 and 19. Our Chapter’s target is mothers with children between the ages of 2 and 12.
Recognizing there is a tremendous amount of work for us to do to ensure our children, and all children, have the ability to achieve success in our society, we welcome inquiries from prospective new mothers who wish to learn more about our Chapter.
